Davenport · Rent Your Closet
Earn from the clothes nobody wears.
The suit he hasn't worn in years. The blazer he outgrew. The polos that never left the drawer. Send them to Davenport and we'll clean, photograph and rent them. You earn 40% of the rent every month they're out.

- 1
Show us what you have
Tell us the brands and sizes and how long you’ve had them, and add a few phone photos. It takes a couple of minutes.
- 2
We say yes or no
Ben looks at every piece himself and replies, usually within a day. We only take what we think will rent, so some pieces will be a no.
- 3
Ship what we accept
Ben sends you a quote and a prepaid shipping label. Box up the accepted pieces, drop the box off, and you’re done.
- 4
We get them ready
Professional cleaning, styling, photos and a listing on the site. You don’t lift a finger.

You earn every month they rent
40% of the rent, for every month a piece is out with a customer, sent to you by Venmo or Zelle. If a renter buys it, you get 40% of that too.
What you earn
A piece that rents for $30 a month pays you $12 for every month it's rented. We keep the rest to cover cleaning, shipping and running the shop.

What we accept
Davenport rents premium clothing, so we're selective. Every piece is reviewed before it ships.
- ✦Old suits especially. A good suit that no longer fits is exactly what we’re looking for.
- ✦Premium brands have a much better chance. The ones below are what we rent today; if you have something really nice from another brand, show us anyway.
- ✦No club, company or event logos, monograms or custom embroidery. The brand’s own logo is fine; your country club’s crest isn’t.
- ✦Clean and wearable: no stains, holes, pilling or heavy fading.
- ✦Men’s clothing only.
- Peter Millar
- Polo Ralph Lauren
- Vuori

Nothing is committed by sending this. Ben reviews it and replies with a yes or no on each piece.
Questions
- What does it cost me?
- Nothing out of pocket. Setup is $8 per accepted piece, with a $20 minimum, and it covers your prepaid shipping label, cleaning, styling, photos and listing. Ben sends you the exact quote before you ship anything, and it comes out of the first rent your pieces earn, so you never pay us directly.
- What if a piece never rents?
- Then it earns nothing, and you owe nothing. Pieces only earn in the months they’re rented, which is why we’re picky about what we accept.
- What if a renter wants to buy my piece?
- Renters can buy a piece they love at a price we set. If yours sells, you get 40% of the sale price, the same share you earn on rent. If you’d rather a piece never be sold, tell Ben when you send it.
- Is there a limit on what I can earn?
- No. You earn 40% for as long as your piece keeps renting.
- Can I get my clothes back?
- Yes. Ask, and once a piece is back from its current renter we’ll return it to you.
- What rents best?
- Suits most of all, especially the ones that have sat in a closet since they stopped fitting. Then blazers, polos, quarter-zips, dress shirts, trousers and sweaters, in sizes M and L. For everything but suits, newer pieces do better than older ones.
- Why no club or company logos?
- Renters are strangers to your club or your office, so a crest or a company name makes a piece unrentable, even on a great brand.
- Do you take everything I send?
- No. We review every piece from your photos first, so nothing ships unless we’ve already said yes to it.
Know someone who'd wear these?
Sons in college, new grads, anyone starting a job. They rent real brands by the month and send them back from the mailbox.
