You choose the piece. Rhone, Peter Millar, Vuori, Sun Day Red, Rhoback, Marine Layer, and the rest of the brands on the site, with the monthly price shown before you order. It is not a shipment someone else fills. Taelor publishes a different model: a style quiz and a stylist, with AI, choose the clothes in a shipment, and you return that shipment to get the next one.
Who picks the clothes
Taelor. Taelor’s how-it-works page says a stylist and AI choose the shipment. You do not shop a catalog of individual pieces first.
Davenport. You pick every piece yourself. The monthly price and the buyout price are on the piece.
What you can rent
Taelor. Taelor’s brand page lists a large roster that includes Bonobos, Marine Layer, and Johnston & Murphy.
Davenport. The shop is premium golf and athleisure: Rhone, Peter Millar, Vuori, Sun Day Red, Rhoback, Marine Layer, and the other brands listed on our brands page.
How a swap works
Taelor. Taelor’s FAQ says you return the shipment to unlock the next one. A single item can be extended for a fee.
Davenport. Each piece rents on its own. Send one back when you are done with it. You do not have to return the rest of the order the same day.
Style help
Taelor. Taelor describes a quiz, an AI engine, and a human stylist who finalizes the shipment.
Davenport. Find Your Style is your AI-powered personal stylist. Your Style Profile names your archetype, colors, fit, and outfits from pieces we can rent in your size. You still pick what goes in the suitcase.
Buying a piece
Taelor. Taelor’s FAQ says members can buy pieces they rented at savings of up to 70% off the retail price.
Davenport. Every piece shows a buyout price. It starts at 90% of retail when the piece is brand new and steps down with earlier rentals, and it does not go below 40% of retail. Buy it from your account and billing for that piece stops.
Stopping
Taelor. Taelor’s terms and FAQ say you cancel by email. The FAQ says all items must be returned to cancel, and membership charges continue until they are received.
Davenport. You start a return for a piece from your account. There is no separate cancellation fee. A 1-month Closet rental stops billing for that piece once you request the return after that month. A longer length, or a piece we buy new for you, is the length you chose at checkout.
